Why we started Lemonelly

Lemonelly started with a bronze foundry.

My sister Veronica's husband runs a lost wax casting foundry. His work is exceptional. Sculptors trust him with pieces that take months to make and can't be remade. But if you'd found him online, you'd never have known. His website was outdated, hard to use on a phone, and nowhere near the standard of what came out of his workshop.

So we rebuilt it from scratch. Veronica shaped how it looked and felt. I made sure it worked properly, loaded fast, and showed up in search. When it went live, it finally matched the quality of his work. He loved it. And we realised we'd enjoyed building it more than almost anything we'd worked on.

That's when we decided to try doing this for other businesses.

Who we are

We're a sister and brother team.

Veronica has an honours degree in fine art and spent years working alongside a renowned artist, helping him build his practice. She's spent her life around aesthetics, and she brings that eye to every site we build.

I'm a mechanical engineer with 15 years in tech and startups. I care about the part you don't see: that the site runs fast, works on every phone, gets found on Google, and never falls over.

We use AI tools in our work, and we're upfront about that. It doesn't replace the thinking. It means the two of us can do what used to take an agency a full team and a few months, and do it in about a week.

Who we build for

We build for people who've spent years building something real, but whose website doesn't show it.

Roofers, foundries, makers, family firms. Businesses with decades of craft, glowing word of mouth, and a website that undersells all of it. If your work is better than your website, you're exactly who we started this for.

How we work

We start by building you a free draft, before you've paid anything or promised anything. It's a starting point, not a finished product. Then we go back and forth with you, over email, WhatsApp or a call, until it's exactly right. Style, photos, words, everything can change. Most sites are ready in about a week.

There's nothing to pay upfront. Once you're happy, it's a simple monthly fee that covers hosting, SEO, updates whenever you want them, and us on WhatsApp when you need us. We built it this way because we'd rather stay involved than hand over a site and disappear. And if you don't like what we make, you walk away. No hard feelings.
